The black/orange bike from 1996 that I got late 2025 came with the original springs. These are made for a 66-70kg driver and ... I'm a bit heavier.
In Denmark, where I'm from, I found MC Teknik HyperPro which is a one-person hobby shop with a deal with HyperPro in the Netherlands.
MC Teknik HyperPro does both full pull and swap and re-attach to the bike, but it takes more work time, so my uncle, my brother (mostly watching ) and I used this YT video (see below) to remove the rear-shock and forks. It should have taken ~20min but took ~2+-2½ hours to get the rear-shock off as one of the bolts on the read cushion asssembly was stuck... 3 hours...
Anyhow we got it off and I took the 3 parts to MC Teknik HyperPro. It took him a mere ~1½-2 hours to switch the springs and seals and oil and other parts in the frontforks that I don't know the names of. One seemed to have been serviced once, but not the first...
It took ~30min to re-assemble all 3 parts after cleaning and greasing the rear cushion assembly so it is smooth in the future.
Here is a picture of the HyperPro frontspring and the original.
Here is the HyperPro rear spring put on the rearshock with the original in the plastic bag. Quite a difference.
I've not yet had time to put them on the bike as I need to clean the break cylinders, add new breakpads, put on engineguard and new offroard tires, so it will have to wait a bit with a verdict if the it is worth the money or not (I think it is becaues the original springs are ... not that good if you are not around the ~70kg mark).
